I've been meaning to try paint by numbers for months, but I keep getting stuck at the same point—choosing a design. Every time I think I've found one I like, another ten catch my eye. Yesterday I decided to stop scrolling through every category and looked at the best sellers here instead: https://www.paintbynumbers-adults.co...s/best-sellers . My thinking was that if so many people picked those kits, they probably make good first projects. I'm still undecided, though. Did anyone else use the bestseller list as their starting point, or is it better to ignore popularity and just follow your own taste? -
It's funny how often people get caught in "choice overload." We have so many options now that making a decision can sometimes feel like the hardest part of a hobby. Whether it's books, board games, or painting kits, I think most people eventually realize that there's no perfect choice waiting to be discovered. At some point it's better to pick something that genuinely appeals to you and enjoy the experience instead of wondering whether another option would've been slightly better. -
That's actually how I picked my first kit. I wasn't looking for the "best" painting—I just wanted to avoid buying something that might be too difficult for a beginner. I chose one from the bestseller collection because I assumed plenty of people had already had a good experience with it. Looking back, I think it was the right approach. The colors were enjoyable to work with, the instructions were easy to follow, and finishing it gave me enough confidence to order another one a few weeks later.
