Damn, not the way I expected this to turn out. Good luck with all of it!

Well, double shit. I didn't realize I'd need a retaining compound too.
Vibra-tite is waaaaay less expensive, do you have any long term experience with it? Realistically, this engine should...

Well shit. I guess I'm adding some freeze plugs to my next parts order. I'd rather install them and fix any issues while the engine is on the stand.

Interesting. I've heard it's best to leave the plugs alone unless you've got a problem. I had the shop leave them in when they did my bottom end, so fingers crossed that they're all good!

How much of the interior is missing?
It would be pretty expensive to build a car from scratch by buying each piece. Swapping stuff from a rusty/crashed shell would be way cheaper.

I'm buying the last few things I need for my stroker build and I want to avoid any oil pressure problems....Last edited by McGyver; 12-22-2024, 08:13 AM.

I plan on using Redline Assembly lube for the whole build. Any suggestions for the break in oil?
Also, I have new mahle 84.5 pistons (11251714810). This should be roughly 9.0:1CR and then...

I'm almost to the point of assembling my 2.7i engine. I'm sure I could slap it together and it'd work just fine, but I would prefer to do it right the first time.
Would a generic step-by-step...
