Get a seat with real metal spring like the E30 sport seat. Foam only will never give the same suspension as a metal spring/foam combo....

Welcome! This forum is a wealth of knowledge and probably the most active as far as E30 cars go. What do you drive? Or work on?

I checked their website and saw nothing in stainless. Should I call them?

I'll let you know if I find anything. I have been using Ate grease as you describe. The road chemicals are brutal here. They do not sand the roads before storms - it is straight to the salt. Brand new...

Where to find stainless caliper pistons?
RUST arggggg! I am tired of fried rotors due to seized steel caliper pistons. Where might we buy stainless E30 caliper pistons? Thanks!!!

I think the straight 325i can handle the added weight depending on your differential ratio. I noticed a difference on two cars when I ran heavier wheels/tires: My M10 powered 318i and my 325iX. Keep in...

If you can keep the weight down, 16" rims are the better option because the availability of 15" tire is practically nil. I just bought 225/50r15 Kumhos as options are few for my basket weav...

That's what I do every other timing belt. Why dump lifetime coolant and change a perfectly good water pump as well as make a mess?

If you have the torque to overcome the greater rotational mass, bigger rims and tires make sense. I would not put 16" or 17" rims on a 318i for sure! Yes, it is getting grim finding 15"...

WTB: Z3 differential - open prefered
I'm looking for a small case 3.45 open (small 168MM R&P) Z3 or 318ti differential (from a manual) --- or a 3.64 medium case 188MM R&P Z3. I would consider LS, but it is not needed. Located in...Last edited by packratbimmer; 03-04-2023, 05:11 AM.

There was a place in the UK that offered stainless pistons, but I cannot remember details???

I would have a compression check done if you do not find anything else wrong. If your valves are slightly leaking, power will slowly diminish. Certainly get the injectors cleaned and stay with the stock...

WTB: Z3 differential open is fine
I need a Z3 differential and open is fine. If there is one out there for sale, please let me know what you have. Thanks

The hoses do not need to be removed - I have done the job many times. A genuine BMW water pump will last 10 years and I do not drive the car 100K in 10 years - Betcha a hundo - LOL....

Keep in mind that what matters the most are three factors. shifter part lengths, drive shaft length and transmission output flange. I have provided a link below as an example. If you are using the 240...

Also, if you are still running a cat, it is likely that you are just loading it up with unburned crud between idle and open road "cycles." The oxy sensor is key here.
