Yeah, an M20 clutch/flywheel/PP/TOB is totally compatible with the M42. A stock M20 flywheel MIGHT have clearance issues, but lightweight ones usually have material removed such that it clears the oil...

Do you have the clutch switch bracket & switch (found on cars with cruise control)? They are parts 32, 33 & 34 in the diagram.
