    ///M grill badge question?

    Picked this up for only $7 on ebay but I think it is missing something on the back, maybe the piece that holds it on. Do you know where I can get another backing or is there a way to put it on with a diy backing?
    sorry for the crappy cell phone pics

    Thanks guys!

    Yes there is a clip for it on the back. Search on realoem.com to find the PN but you should leave the m badge for a m3.

      I looked it up on realoem.com and all I found was the badge itself not the backing. Any suggestions?

        It looks like it has the braket on it.

            Clips on, you slip it over the rails I think.

                Again it looks like it just sits over the rails and you push down on it so it seats its self.

                    The dealership was the one who would put those on.

                      I'm pretty sure the only non-M cars that came with M-badges are euro-spec M-Tech cars. Even the US-spec M-Tech II cabbies all had badges that said M-Technic, not M.

                      Do whatever you want, but you're going to get piles upon piles of shit for having that on your car. It's not an M car, it shouldn't have an M badge.

                        You have an M motor in it, I've got no problem with an M badge, and I'm and M3 owner.

                          You slide the badge onto the grill from the front, and bend the top metal tab down & the bottom tab up over the nearest horizontal slat to secure it to the grill.

                              As John in VA said above, you slip the ///M badge between two slats in the grill and bend the metal tabs around the above and below slat to secure it. Fairly simple...
