    Last part! EMS ?

    Lately,
    I have been reading the Maga Manuel for MS, and thanks to you guys on here I understand a lot more. I have a question concerning the assembled MS 2 EFI system PCB 3.57 kit, I was woundering if it would be better to assemble it myself or if anyone has purchased the assembled kit and how it has worked out for them? So basically does it matter if I assemble it myself? This is to go on a 2.5l I6 turbo running 12psi & 42lb injectors.motor has 59k and new stock headgasket and raceware studs. All I need is a stand alone system, got all the other parts sitting in my shop. Want it running this summer, and also I have a guy that has the software for any MS nag will help with tunning. I also want to know if 2.5inch Exeter will be big enough with a resonator?
    Any info would be useful thanks.

      There are a bunch of guys on this forum who can build you a ready to plug in megasquirt with a base map. Whodwho, blueapplesoda, lifeiskaos, and myself can build you pretty much what ever you need. 2.5" will get the job done for 12lbs of boost but i'd at least put in a 3" downpipe for better spool time.

        personally I'd go with a V3.0 kit, or one of the PnP kits (handbuilt, whodwho's new board, or the DIYpnp). The V3.0 board lends it self a lot better to modification that the V3.57, and is cheaper too. As far as reliability there's no real difference if it's built right.

        I'd also suggest reading the manuals on www.msextra.com. Some of the theoretical stuff on the original megamanual still applies but unless you're running 3 year old B&G code, everything else is outdated. and you can skip to the specific version of MS you're interested (1, 2, 3)..

          Thanks guys for the info. I will porbably go with the V3.0 kit i like the sound of better modification. I was planing on the kit bellow at DIYAutotune.com. With this kit i would of course buy widband O2 and tunning cable. I see they sell a wiring harness which in all factors is smart to replace on a 21yr old car. Besides time consuming is there anything i should know heading into replacing the harness? I am planning to order this real soon and just want to make sure everything will work out.
