    I Think I Just Screwed Up...Salad Shooters

So I just bought a set of C4 salad shooters and they are all 16x9.5. So Im assuming that is too large to run on a e30. Just I just screw myself out of $200?

no you can run them, lots of people do.
you need big adapters to fix the huge offset, and then a good amount of fender rolling/massaging.

its been done and looks cool.
just plan to spend more to get them on and looking right and blah blah blah

Im kind of a newb on wheels, what does the plates do in regards to offset. I think Im going to just be screwed and buy (2) 16x8.5 for the front and just eat the cost

Seems like most run the staggered set up.

adapters are plates that allow u to mount 5 lug wheels on a 4lug hub/car. the thickness of the plates brings the wheels out more, so that they clear the shock/spring setup. Corvette wheels are very deep inside and will hit your struts...

also once you bring the wheels out they will want to hit the fenders, hence the recommendation to roll/massage the fenders...

i have seen salad shooters done on an e30 and it looks absolutely fantastic... but like it was said... you may have to spend some more... sorry if you didn't want to spend sooo much...

        good luck and be safe...

          plates? you mean adapters?
i think the offset is like 50 something, you need to bring it down to like et(et means offset btw) so et20 to et40.

so whatever adapters you get should be good, and yeah staggared would be best, resell the other two, but salad shooters are cheap, hence why you got 4/200.

good luck, let us all know how it works out.

FYI, there is a wheel/tire fitment thread that might help you

Rear will work and you have room for error when choosing the right adapter for that perfect offset.

The front is what you have to worry about and be spot on in means of offset to make 9.5 fit. Borbet A's need a small spacer to make them fit at an offset of 13 I believe? And they are 9 wide.
Just do some math, it'll work and the fitment will be very aggressive

Yeah since Im new to wheels, I probably wouldnt be the best to guess which I needed. And you have to get those order special with adaptec, so you cant really be wrong haha.

Pretty sure these type of salad shooters won't fit since they're 9.5 in front, too wide. Also they're like +58 offset or something stupid ive read
