S52 6 speed Transmission into e30?

I assume you mean the G420 mated to the S54?
It will bolt up to an M20 just fine but it will be twisted to the left by about 10 degrees and as such would fit easier with a 24V motor. You'll need a custom trans crossmember, E36 M3 EVO shifter linkage and a custom driveshaft. Linkages will have to be modified in order for the shifter to sit right.
You may want to consider using another G260 or a ZF as the G420 is more of a pain to get to fit, heavier, and actually not as strong as the ZF. Some E46 M3 guys who are serious about tracking their cars actually swap ZFs in. Gearing-wise the 420 is basically a ZF except with an extra overdrive gear.

You will need more than just a gearbox; crossmember setup adaptation, clutch kit, full shift linkage, driveshaft adapted for e30+6 speed.
Shift linkage is related to transmission mount. Ideally the same shop does both for your e30
Stock e30 crossmember works just fine when adapter properly.
This adapter style has seen heavy duty real world Street/mountain testing and stressed to wangan speeds. Track day/dyno tested, drift day abuse ok.
Using the stock x member is assured 100% Oem look and fit to transmission.
