water heating on M10 throttle body

Ive just discovered that my Bentley says that the coolant hoses that go in and out of the throttle body are to heat the air for cold starts incold climates. I live in Australia where it gets bloody hot and I want cool intake air anyway. Has anyone blanked these off or bypassed them and noticed any difference in performance due to cooler air? Or is it worth not bothering deleting them from the throttle body...:

People do delete these (they are on M20, M42 and a lot of other engines as well), but generally it is to eliminate unneeded hoses/clutter. You won't see a performance difference. It doesn't so much heat the air going through the throttle body as it does heat the throttle body itself to keep ice from forming.
