    318ti 5 lug questions

I'm using a 95 318ti to swap my 84 318i to 5 lug. and had a few questions before i get to far along.

First of all is the rear subframe on the two cars the same. I would like to use the 318Ti rear subrame and prep it with a camber and toe kit prior to dissambling my 318i.

Secondly, the 318ti has an LSD and it was an automatic, what ratio am i likely to be looking at here. i will find this out my self when i get a momemt to disasembl the 318ti. but am just curious at the moment.

Thirdly, can i use the e30 rear axles and swap out the output flanges on the 318ti diff if that is what i use. I also have some e36 M3 axles lying around, those whould happen to work would they?

Subframes are identical aside from exhaust hanger, but that's not important. You can weld one while you weld camber/toe adjustment kit.

The Ti diff is going to be either 3.45 or 4.45.
    3.45 is the rare one.

Yes you can swap the flanges and use e30 axles.

Thanks, i tore it apart and it is a 4.45 lsd, so i'll proly try to put the lsd into my 3.90 diff.
So it doesnt matter that my e30 axle are from a drum brake car?

I am not sure about that. You are going to have to try and see pretty much..

You can't use the E36 M3 axles but the E30 axles will work if you install the correct flanges in to the diff.

why not just keep the complete 318ti rear end together and bolt it into the e30? are the axles missing?

Becuase the 318ti had a 4.44lsd small case diff in it, i'm gonna use a 3.73lsd large case diff in this setup, the flange size between the two diff are different so instead of swapping output flanges i'm gonna swap to the larger axleshafts.

They are AKG 12mm shorter bushings, Got the Diff Bushing too. How ever got it all installed and the diff needed to be spaced down, because it was rubbing the gas Tank.
