FS: Whole wrecked parts car + goodies.

A lady in an older Civic making a left turn pulled in front of me back in November and I hit her going approximately 30-40mph. The front right corner of the car was damaged.

Fender, hood, bumper, front fascia, grills and both headlamps were trashed. There was damage to the radiator support but the damage did not extend to the suspension, front subframe, or control arm and does not appear to have affected the strut in any way. When the car is on the ground all of the doors open and function like normal and the damage appears to be local to the right front corner and not frame. (on jackstands right now)

The car has been parked in my garage since November waiting my decision on what I wanted to do. My original intention was to replace the damaged areas with a tube structure and rebuild or to find a coupe chassis and swap all of my stuff into it but, over the last few months I have lost interest. So much so that I haven't even removed anything major. I am looking to get rid of the whole car first before I start to consider part out.

The car has about 158k miles on the chassis.

    Mods:
-Ground Control coilovers 315/570 spring rates
-Stock front uncut strut housings with E30 Koni SA struts and OEM strut mounts. 10k miles
-Rear Koni SA externally adjustable shocks from TC Kline with their 12mm street strut mounts 10k miles
-Engine has a fresh head, head gasket and head bolts with about 500 miles before the accident, as well as a new timing belt, tensioner, water pump, and related gaskets all done at the same time.
-Engine is powered by a DIYPNP megasquirt unit that was tuned well enough to be my daily driver for over 1 year. E36 tps, GM IAT, AFM deleted. Map Daddy map sensor that reads JUST sligly off of perfect. Apparently that's normal. Wouldn't be much to convert back to a standard GM MAP sensor.
    -Bosch yellow 199cc (19lb) injectors, 4 pintle from a Volvo 5cyl
    -Innovate LC1 Wideband/gauge
-I have a 3.73 LSD beside the car, not installed but will be included. LSD heath unknown.
    -OEM tail lamps slightly smoked.
-16x7.5 Borbet Type As that need tires. I have the Borbet caps in the garage.
    - Rebuilt the oil filter adapter with new o-rings while the head was off.

While the head and intake was off the intake manifold runners were completely scrubbed out of grime and carbon using one of those long Lowe's fridge dust brushes. Intake manifold and valve cover painted black. Every top end gasket replaced, new spark plugs, wires cap, rotor, timing belt, water pump ect. Bottom end is 158k mile bottom. with a new oil pan gasket. It had new motor mounts and trans mounts but they were deformed in the crash and I would replace them. I did not replace the rear crank seal as I did not separate the motor from the trans.

The exhaust is currently disconnected at the manifolds, and the driveshaft is out of the car. The center support bearing was destroyed in the wreck. Driveshaft is out so I slip a new bearing on and the car can be driven under it's own power on to a trailer. If you want to see the vehicle, give me a little notice and I'll charge it's battery so you can see it run.

Interior is tan comfort seats that have seen better days. Dash has two minor cracks, one in front of the cluster, one by the passenger side.

I'm over looking for a clean chassis. It seems that what I am looking for just doesn't exist. The price/value of the E30 seems to have risen over the last 3 years and I am not finding what I want for what I want to spend.

Looking to get $1800 for the vehicle and the sum of the parts. Can remove the Type A's for $1600

I still have the Thule roof rack but, it is not made for an E30, it's made for an 06-10 Sonata. I will sell that separate for $100 but, you'll have to fiddle with it and figure out how to get it tight on your own, it took me about a half hour to secure it and there was some wind noise/whistling when I was done. It worked well and is only 3 months old but you have been warned

How much for the subframe? You can cut it in half to save on shipping size. zip is 53066, thanks!

Good luck man... If you do decide to part it I would be interested in the tail lights. Possibly rear bumper too

Sorry, Car is located in Hampton Roads, Portsmouth to be specific. It has also been stored in my garage on jackstands since mid December and not outside. I also have the vehicle title in my hands for the vehicle if one were interseted in rebuilding it.

Jandress - I see you are from Richmond, If you are interested in the vehicle I should be able to make a cell phone video of the vehicle running if you would like. Or for anyone else for that matter.

And out of curiosity TinyT what in the world would you be doing with a subframe cut in half? haha

How many miles on the coil overs? Do you have any wheels other than the type a's that the car be be rolled away on?

              Thx

Approx. 10k All parts purchased new by me 4/2010 . I still have the original receipts. Just so we are clear they are the $400 ground control springs/sleves + Koni SA struts in OEM uncut front housings + TCK modified Top adjustable Koni rear struts and strut mounts.

There's a set of bottle caps with some almost new Nexens the PO purchased.

Also forgot to mention I would consider cash + E28 goodies. I have an 87 528e as a daily that could use a nice suspension, euro bumpers, maybe something 5x120.

Contemplating putting the I motor and MS2 from the E30 into the E28...

Thanks. I've got piles of 4x100s for it to roll out on. I'd like the keep the Type A's with the vehicle unless the purchaser doesn't want them or I decide to part. I'll send you a PM if it comes to that.

if you end up selling the Type A's and Krueger doesn't get them i'd be interested. Selling the roof rack?
