    Lollipop Shifted Wheels Forward

When I did my S50 swap in my E30 we needed more clearance for the exhaust header pipes so we installed a set of Treehouse racing lollipops.

Car handles very wheel but after swapping in the lollipops the front wheels sit more forward in the wheel well. On stock bottle caps there isn't too much of an issue with it, but on my ESMs the tire rubs on the metal bumper/valence.

I was wondering if it was possible to swap in E30 M3 control arms into my non m3 front suspension since the Treehouse lollipops seem similar to M3 CABs

Any other input on how to set the wheel back to the middle of the wheel well would be greatly appreciated.

I think you're going to have to go back to the centered CAB's. I don't think the M3 control arms are any different (other than being aluminum).

Yep, side affect of increased caster (offset m3 bushings and tree houses' lolli's) is the slight forward position of the wheels. That being said I'm unsure of the measured difference in caster from the tree house pieces compared to the M3 offset bushings.

M3 Control arms are the same dimensions just different material. If you need to retain the small control arm bushings contact treehouse and see if they could send you the same bushings without the mounting holes drilled and then drill them yourself to get the desired caster. I know another member on here had them do that (cant remember who off the top of my head).

You should just roll the metal out of the way if possible. What size tire are you running?

If your tires are rubbing the bumper and valance you have bigger issues. I've run E30 M3 geometry bushings on many cars without issue. As said above, what size tire are you running?

The problem with going back to the center CABs is my headers would rub against them. I am running 215/40/17 tires on my ESMs. The caster after the Treehouse lollipops was drastic I am going to upload a pic when I get home from work. Treehouse told me to do some research on the forums about E36 arms to decrease some of the caster but I haven't found anything stating the E36 arms will cause a decrease in caster.

I'm quite sure there are camber plates that allow you to adjust castor.

Treehouse bushings use the same geometry as the E30 M3 offset bushings.

I am running the M3 bushings on my car with your exact same size tire and absolutely no rubbing issue. A 215/40/17 tire is actually a slightly SMALLER diameter than the 195/65/14 tire on a stock bottlecap FYI.

I can't begin to imagine the amount of material I'd have to remove from the wheel well in order to have the headers interfere with the tires....

I would imagine you are not running an ET:20 offset wheel with that tire size. I believe the offset of my ESMs is placing a role in the rubbing because the stock bottlecaps which are relatively similar in size (there worn down, ESMs are brand new rubber) don't seem have any issues.

If this is the case to solve my problem I will buy them, any suggestions of which ones are better than others? I know Ground Control seems to be pretty popular.
