you could say the Federal Government doesn't want them encroaching on their territory. :p
to me it's just the thought that you could be sitting in a movie theatre minding your own business and 6 or 7 spooks show up and haul you away for no real reason, except some corporate exec thinks you were maybe possibly thinking of stealing from them.

Im guessing "Spooks" in the PNW means cops? In the south, that is one of the most raciest words used to describe a certain group of people.
On the other hand, I agree with you 100% total bs!Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs!

IIRC correctly a Spook is slang for CIA or other covert intelligence agent. And of course what Dub said.
I Will admit I did burst out laughing after I read though it the 1st time ( I know what you were getting at) and thought about it the other way ..........................Originally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.

I read this article and told my wife about this, she was all like"well, they have a right to protect themselves from losing profit to bootlegging" I was all about the "how does that equate to Homeland security?" she didn't get it. I am sometimes really surprised (even by my partner) at how much "freedom" people are willing to give up for a little security, even if that isn't security for them but for a corporation or other entity.
I honestly felt a tinge of jackbooted thugs or brown-shirts grabbing this guy out of a theater for being nothing more than an early adopter of technology.
it seems excessive.
honestly I don't know what responsibility each of these agencies has in respect to their policing actions, I'm from the north, but really? and then searching his data without a warrant? wtf? how is this ok in the land of the free. I honestly feel that Canadians have a much higher level of de facto personal freedom AND security in spite of having much less of either LEGISLATED for us.
cliffs for the tl'dr; "shit pisses me of, yo' '
