    Differential needed

Hey guys, I bought an 85 325e a few months ago, and two weeks ago I did a 5speed swap, pretty hyped on the difference, I recently put a s2.93 in and It turned out to be all jooked up. im looking for a good deal on an lsd, I like the 2.93 but ill take your advice if theres a better ratio, thanks

Also looking for a good set of coilovers!

Some folks swear by the 3.25, but I think those only came in E24-28's. So they may be a little harder to get a hold of, especially in the LSD.

Don't waste your money on a 3.25, it's not worth the gas you saved with a 2.93. Better yet, throw in a 2.73 and enjoy your fuel saving eta.

I put other LSDs in my eta back a couple years ago and hated it all. 2.93lsd is the way to go imo

I had a 3.25 in my eta. Coupled with a Mark D chip it really transformed that car.

3.25 is nice, Dont get what you guys are on about, its barely higher then the 2.93. And its perfect for 24v swap down the road.

I swapped a 3.46 lsd in my eta. It made quite a difference in the feel of the car. Mpg went down about 3 miles per gal on average from the 2.93 diff. Revs went up roughly 500 rpms for average hwy speeds (which is significant when redline is so low). Acceleration was noticeably increased, top speed was noticeably decreased. You have to shift more often, but when you shift to 5th you can still accelerate rather than just lower the hwy rpms for better mileage.
