    BMW 327i Camshaft Questions ?

    Hello mates ,
    I was Wondering About some of the Cams I've Got Here .

    I Have A B20 Cam which is Marked L
    and Another B25 Cam Marked K
    and A Schrick 288 Cam .

    But I Removed The 288 , becasue my car is daily Use , and the 288 is just ain't for daily usage , the car Idle is unstable and i just like the power not the wiggle .

    Now i am Back on A K cam ,
    My Car has a 2.7 Bottom end , and A B25 Top .
    But Never Tried the L cam on my Engine Setup .
    Would be Better or Worse Than the K Cam ?

    Also I guess I'll be getting a 272 Cam my favorite , but a bit hard to find here in my area .

    Any Ways ,

    Should Should I Stay On the K one or should i Use The L one ?
    I've Heard there's just a small difference between them .
    Dunno if that difference is better or worse according to the Performance .

    the L cam has identical lobes to the K cam but with a stock cam gear the locating pin advances the cam a few degrees which might be a little better on the street but then again it might not be better. you can fit an adjustable cam gear to achieve the same effect. what i would do is get a cam gear and play around a bit making sure the pistons dont touch valves and see what you like. if you don't like any or the effect is too small a mild 272 is going to be better

    PINK=B25
    BLUE=B20
