Fuel hose leak at fuel rail -- HELP!

Sorry if it is hard to see in this pic... But I'm leaking fuel at the far left part of the fuel rail (closest to the firewall).

Back story: I recently changed out my injectors to 19#ers, and in the process damaged my original fuel rail, and was also forced to cut the hose due to me failing to depressurize the system.

I ended up getting another fuel rail from my friend's parts car, and reattached the hose. Could the leak be from the cut? How hard is this hose to replace?

    Help!

I believe it is #14 here. Has anyone ever changed this hose before? How difficult would it be?

Would I be able to clean up the cut on the existing hose and reinstall?

if its just the hose, give it tug to get some slack, cut off the damaged section, put it on the fuel rail , clamp it. FIXED

If you cut the hose, it should really be replaced. That's a high pressure system and if it were my car I wouldn't take a chance with it. I'm not super familiar with that particular hose, but I would doubt it has much slack as I think it's a pre-shaped hose.

you can replace that hose with off the shelf fuel line hose of the same size.

Be sure to use hose that is rated for fuel injection. Not only is it pressure rated but it will not break down from exposure to ethanol as will ordinary fuel line.

It's 8x13mm hose and you can buy a 5 meter roll for about $30 from suppliers like autohausaz and that's enough to replace all the under hood hoses on 2 e30s

I also replaced the clamp with a standard hose clamp and not a fuel injector clamp (which I didn't know existed until now).

Could these be the culprit as well?

Yes, the wrong clamp can be a culprit. It certainly looks like the moisture is coming from the clamp.

worm clamps are ok if the right size. often over time under the squashed/clamped area there are cracks in the hose etc due to heat and stress

Voila! Thanks for all of your help guys. I depressurized the fuel system and then remove the line. I trimmed it below a crack in the line caused by the old clamp. I replaced it with a fuel injector hose clamp. Now, no more leaks!

screw those hose worm clamps. those things don't work. the fuel injection clamp works best.
