Deleting OBC and Relay Box Question

I'm in the process of deleting unnecessary wiring for the Spec E30 car I'm building. I'd like to remove the OBC, wiring, and relay box (located against the firewall behind the headlight switch and ABS box).

I've gathered that the "Start" circuit is somehow tied into the OBC system and that simply removing the OBC relay will prevent the car from starting.

I'm thinking that I can bypass the relay box by splicing the correct wires that lead to the relay box, but I'm not sure which wires will do that trick.

I'm looking at Page 1360-4 Injection Electronics in the ETM (found here: http://wedophones.com/Manuals/BMW/19...g%20Manual.pdf).

It looks perhaps that I need to splice the Green 1.5mm wire and Green/Red 1.5mm wire together.

The whole harness comes out. Just unplug it, you don't need to splice anything. You can probably sell the harness and OBC.

yes jumper the Grn to Grn/red as seen in the non OBC diagram or the GRN pin 1 to Grn pin 2 at C104 connector is how it done without OBC

Thank you, that makes sense and fits with what I've heard. Apparently, the OBC code feature prevents theft of the car by preventing the fuel injection from functioning.

yes if you follow that Grn wire in the diagram to the next page you can see its the power to the coil ,so without it jumpered you wont have spark
