Help please uuc rear sway bar!

So I bought a set of uuc sway bars off someone from this forum. I already installed the front one, but I'm stuck getting the rear one on. I just bought the hardware for the rear, and just need help welding. My question is, has anyone installed a rear uuc sway bar on there car. I'll pay someone to help me weld and install. Problem is that car is stuck in my garage with no suspension so I need someone to bring welding station to me.

There's a UUC sway in the rear of the car I just sold. I got mine to work, but it took way too much effort and creativity.

UUC rear sways don't fit E30's well. In fact, they're complete shit. If you haven't yet drilled the holes in the car for the mounts, I'd abandon ship on your project and buy a sway that isn't garbage, like the Bimmerworld one.

It really can't be that bad.

They fit better than that garbage made from Ireland Engineering. UUC makes damn good products.

Andrei, you don't *have* to weld it to the trunk floor. It is recommended for performance uses, however. Just drill some holes and bolt it up. Good luck.

Just drill some holes, and bolt it up. Except when you drill the holes so that the mounts line up with the lower hole, the bar is bent so it is too narrow for the mounts, as well as too tall to sweep through it's range of motion, so the bar hits the bottom of the trunk.

Like I said. They're complete shit.

See that's the way I was looking at it that when I bolt it to the trunk that it would hit the the trunk when I'm taking corners like it doesn't have space to maneuver. Unless I can put a spacer so it can have space to move around while taking corners.

Sounds like UUC just copied IE. You are the only person I know who has had issues with IE sway bars and you didnt even install them. So blame the PO not the sway bar. The more I see out of UUC the less and less I like them. Owner is a complete douche nozzle tbh

Yep, I think it's well known Austin's got a pretty apparent vendetta against all things IE.

OP, I work at IE, but if you'd like shoot me a PM and I'll try helping you out with the UUC bar. I've installed a good number of bars (all brands I can think of) and should be able to help.

I have the Suspension Techniques Spec E30 rear sway I would possibly part with for cheap. Switched to the AAF bar..

But if you space it down so the bar fits, then the lower mount hole won't work. And you can't re-drill it because there isn't enough space. As produced, the UUC mounts are non-functional. Save yourself the trouble and just don't try.
