Fuse box grounding and cooling question

I am nearly finished with swapping a 1993 MB50B25 out of an E36 into a 1990 316i E30. There is a ground wire from the fusebox that goes to the battery(battery is under the hood, not trunk). But I cannot remember where it was grounded to. Does anyone know where to ground the fusebox cable? Also, I've got an E30 radiator to put in the car, but doesn't have the reservoir hose attach point that the M50 had with it's radiator. Can you delete it and just run the external coolant reservoir FROM the E30 325i? The M40 that was in the E30 had a built-in reservoir in the radiator. I have an E30 325i reservoir I can mount.
