Hey guys, we are racing at Lime Rock next month and are wondering what you all are doing to be compliant with the noise rules. We are running a bone stock M52 with an exhaust that goes dual back to the center support bearing before merging and going into a generic high flow muffler. Is this going to be quiet enough? What works on a 24v? Our car is hardly loud but it isn't silent either, wondering if we should stick a glasspack or something ahead of the muffler.

Just checking to see what other have ran that have been compliant. All we have is a single 2.5" high flow muffler, you mention high flow everything....what does that include? I have a feeling we are louder than that.

I have an old Supertrapp with a lot (8? 10?) of discs that I carried when we ran really quiet (92 db) tracks.
It stuck out the back a bit, but it took that car from 98- 99 down to 88.
Also bring a bunch of elbows and bailing wire and small drill bits and stuff... and
you can fake up a lot.
tnow, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

We have a downturn already, and it seems like we have one of the quietest cars around, maybe just stuffing the downturn full of steel wool and clamping some chicken wire over it might do the trick. Going to try my phone at 50', it can only measure to 81db though, might have to pony up for a ~$25 db measuring instrument.
