Preparing our BMW E30 for 18 Hours of Endurance Racing with AER
The weekend looks to be quite the show! 78 entrants as of this morning, 14 E30's, and over half the field is BMW's. There is a huge Pot Luck Dinner Friday Night sponsored by Sahlen's Hotdogs, a 9-hour Race on Saturday, and a 9-Hour Race on Sunday! If you're in the area, grab some beer and come check it out. Admission is free!
If you have a valid racing license, I may have 1 or 2 seats available. One driver had to back out and I have a driver that is coming from Austrailia that might not pan out. I'm looking for $1500 which includes entry fee, gas, tires, etc.. some practice/qualifying stuff on Friday and about 4.5 hours of race seat time on Sat/Sun. I'm only looking for racers with a current, valid racing license - BMWCCA, PCA, NASA, SCCA, FIA, etc... Precision, being easy on the equipment, and being able not to hit stuff is more important to me than sheer speed.
I may be slow to respond this weekend because I will be under the car most of the time.
