FS: 1991 318is - OBD-I S52 - 5 Lug - Caged - Lots of Mods
The time has come to possibly let my E30 go.
This car has come a long way, and has had a nice past. But its time for someone else to add to its legacy.
Very detailed information on the car can be found in my build thread.

Before you read any further, this car was modified over the last 7 years to be driven. It is not flawless by any means. It does not have carpet, or a back seat, or rear speakers, or stock seatbelts. It is a car that trys to kill you everyday.
Here goes (all mods other than S52 and 5 lug were done within the last 3 years)
Engine:
- 1998 OBD-I S52 with roughly 125k (chassis has roughly 200k)
- Fully regasketed
- AKG Poly mounts for the M/Sx swaps
- Reinforced front subframe with IE plates, welding courtesy of 316 Motorworks.
- Aluminum Mishimoto radiator
- Spal 16 Pusher fan, toggled via in-cabin switch. Features both high and low speeds.
- New alternator (sub 500 miles)
-No power steering or ac. No components of those systems are left either.
Exhaust:
- Full stainless steel, mandrel bent 2.5" single pipe exhaust.
- Welding courtesy of Fathead Fabrication.
- Longtube headers to a custom y pipe.
- RaceReady Performance 2.5" solenoid actuated butterfly valve, toggled via in-cabin switch, incorporated after y pipe. When closed it allows for a peaceful, quiet ride with a very refined sound when you want it. With it open, folks in the next county can hear you when you plant your foot. I am talking Nascar levels of noise. It truly creates two exhaust systems in one.
- No catalytic converter. I dont have to pass emissions where I live, so this is not an issue for me, but may need to be addressed depending on where you live.
- Vibrant single 2.5" in and dual 3.0" outs.
Drivetrain:
- ZF320 5 speed transmission
- UUC 8.5 lb lightweight flywheel, with the E34 M5 pressure plate and clutch disk.
- Driveshaft Shops 1 piece driveshaft
- AKG Sport shifter w/ DSSR
- 2.93 LSD
- E36 steering rack
Brakes/5 lug:
- E36 M3 front brakes
- 318ti rear brakes
Suspension:
- B7G coilovers
- AKG poly mounts everywhere they can possibly be. Diff has the AKG diff spacers due to the subframe bushings I installed.
Wheels/Tires:
- E38 style 5's with 225/50/16 Dunlop Direzza ZII's (sub 1000 miles)
- I have another set of the same style 5's, in red, with worn 195 all seasons
Interior:
- Corbeau Pro fixed back bucket seats
- Scroth 6 point racing harnesses
- 4 point half cage, welding courtesy of Fathead Fabrication
- Momocourse deep dish steering wheel with NRG quick release hub
- Sony CD player with 12" Alpine Type R sub in a ported box powered by a 500w rms mono amp. No other speakers at this time, though I will be adding an amped front set here soon.
- Crack free dash!
The car has its blemishes. Definitely a function over form kind of car. It exists to put a giant smile on my face, but I just dont get to drive it enough anymore with my current lifestyle. Would like to put the money into something new.
Please PM me with any questions. I may post my phone number in the future, but I am selling this in a low pressure environment, as I dont need/really want to let it go.
No excessive lowballers. This car has tons of very high quality parts. Little money was spared when it came to the upgrades. I would love to work with someone who is interested. I am willing to deal with loading this onto a trailer to have it shipped. This car is very reliable, never let me down, but I would not recommend traveling from afar to drive it back home, unless you are a sick bastard who enjoys being punished.
Thanks for looking.
