    Kosei K1's?

Im thinking about buying some Kosei K1's in 15 by 8. Looks are of the smallest concern here. I am just trying to find out if anyone has had them and has anything good or bad to say about them. They weigh 14.5 lbs. which is one and a half less than the stock 16 lb. basketweaves. They are also a half inch wider, so I believe they should make a somewhat noticeable improvement. Any info would be helpul. Thanks.

Stock 14" baskets are 15ish pounds and 15x7 et 24 basketweaves are 16 pounds. Kosei's are awesome wheels but I here they are a predominatly track wheel.

remove the paint from the lug nut area or you will have them come loose on the track

        I though weaves were 14x6.5?

Just to review, correct me if i'm wrong:
              Caps: 14x6 - 16.2lbs
              Weaves: 14x6.5 - 14.5lbs
              Euro Weaves: 15x7 - 16lbs
              Kosei: 15x7 - 14.5lbs

So if you're interested in a cheap track/autocross set-up, I take'd either euroweaves or koseis and put Yokohama AVS ES100 (205/55VR15 for $77) on.

Koseis are $129 each. And how much can you get Euro baskets for?(Mtechnik-3 was seeing if anyone wanted $250 for a set. E30evolution got his for $390)

p.s. (Think this only applies to non-M)

EDIT: My new vote goes for stock baskets and 205/60R14, Yoko E3100's - $74 a tire. Unless you really need that extra inch in diameter and half inch in width, weaves are great!

You can get 15x8 kosei's, but they are just blanks, you have to have them drill it to 4x100. If your really looking for track wheels, this is about as good as it gets for the price (so far that I've seen).

I do drive an M3, so my weaves are 15x7.5 and my Kosei's would be 15x8, TireRack sells them in that size normally. It seems like people were thinking four lug. But anyway, had anyone actually heard about the strength of these wheels.

They are, my fault. So the Kosei's would be an inch wider.

This is the setup on my car, and I must say that the handling is absurd and I love these tires to death. At least, when its not snowing outside. Definitely do this if you're on a budget, and you won't regret it. I just wish my car was lowered so I could handle even better.

                        Good luck choosing.

I might go with this....depends how much the weight of 21lbs 16" borbets affects autocrossing. $74 x 4 is hella cheap for performance.

Euro basketweaves are also sweet, I love e30evolution's silver painted ones! But I already have weaves, and there's little sense in me looking for the euro ones. But those with 'caps could sure use this time to upgrade.

Sell the borbets, sell the baskets; buy bbs?
