Yet another swap thread, PLEASE HELP

Trying to wrap this thing up and finally drive it again. Car cranks but won't start. 1997 m3 motor sitting in a 1989 325i.

    What's been done:
m50 manifold, harness adapter from forum member, DME tune from forum member.

Have power to DME. No fuel (no power to injectors) and no spark to plugs.

Cam and crank sensor are believed to be hooked up right and working (I pulled the engine out of a running car). Relays are good and I even swapped 100% working ones in. Grounds all seem to be good. Not sure where to go from here.

    Only things a physically removed:
Purple relay, SAP stuff. The stock 325 harness already had power running there so it felt redundant. Rear o2 sensors are not hooked up and only one front is.

    FIXED: bad harness

Who flashed DME? Sounds like usual ews if DME is powered but not firing?

You plugged into ecu and read codes? That will tell you 100% if it's ready to fire. Usually I see harness power/ground issues cause this

                Are you getting fuel? Spark?

I'm getting fuel to the rail but the injectors aren't getting power. I have no spark.

Oops, I missed that bit. Just reread the original post.

You said the motor came out of a running car. Did that car have the same DME tune in? That seems to be the variable that changed…wafflesI'd try another DME. Sounds like EWS…

Triple check grounds.. perhaps the DME needs to be grounded to the chassis. I've read conflicting reports on whether this is necessary (not in my case) but can't hurt

I took the ECU from the same car and had it tuned by a company on here. I have a red label 413 on the way to test out. I have all the grounds covered and everything has a clean connection.

I pm'd him and he's responded a few times, no complaints there. I guess I'll know more after I try the red label 413.

If the car is utilizing OBD2 sensors you're not going to fire it up with an OBD1 ECU...
