Getrag240 throwout bearing question

hey guys so i pulled my m42 the other day and when i removed the tranny i realized that the throwout bearing is has nothing to keep it attatched to the fork. Am i missing something here?

Nope. You're not missing anything. The flat sides of it go into the cutout in the fork and the bearing assembly itself is just pinched between the fork and the pressure plate.
