    ? For mr. Levie

The connector for my oil level sensor (3 wire) has corroded and literally turned to dust. I’d like to hard wire the connection, do you know the wire colors I need to mate together? The switch has ground, brown, and red I think.

Alternatively, if I leave it disconnected what happens? Can I just ground both wires so that I don’t get the dash warning light?

Find the right manual for your car, find the right diagram. It'll list the colors.

      Thank you

Thanks kershaw, I don’t recall seeing your name over here much. Would’ve asked you by name also.

I managed to use some blades and clips and I think it’s solid enough for a while.

I’m ready to put my car back together after replacing all the coolant lines. I’ve thoroughly cleaned the intake and fuel injection components. It really sucks that I have to wait until my thermostat housing gasket arrives by mail before I can continue.

You can always pick up a roll/sheet of gasket material and cut a gasket yourself.
