    Ripped Clutch Pedal Assembly Housing

    Hi Everyone,
Figured i'll just start my own thread.

    Car:
    1990, e30 saloon, Late Model VINN, 5speed, 325i

    Issue:
Clutch Pedal Fell to the Floor and i'm not able to select gears with car running. No Fluid Loss, reservoir was filled..

I've had similar issue caused by a bad master cylinder, easy fix...(i think i did see it ripping back then but forgot to go back and fix it)

So when the pedal fell again, went looking for a bad cylinder and noticed the bracket holding the Master Cylinder was ripping apart, which also bent the Master cylinder, safe to say its gonna need to be replaced as well ($50.-100.)

I've also seen a bracket you can add for additional support ($30.),,, and wanted to know if anybody has tried this, and how it fits/performs.

    Questions:
    1. Is welding the old part good enough to last another 100k (i have the part out the car)?
    2. has anybody welded the old housing and had any issues of it breaking again?
    3. Any feedback on the support bracket seller or the bracket?

I will post sum pictures once i get settled

the welder guy told be 60 bucks to weld 3inchs,,, lol, a new housing is $40. (FYI: the housing with air bag part number is ECS# 63303 Mfg# 35111157720 )
