    ABS Light: Safe to drive?

I know there are numerous threads on how to fix the ABS light. My question is, is it safe to drive the car if the light is on?

I'm on a road trip and stopped for gas and turned the ignition and the light stays on after startup. I just want to be sure I'm safe to drive until I can fix with a new relay or alternate solution.

its probably a bad wheel sensor and as long as you don't expect your abs to act normal if you need it, it won't hurt anything

      Yes, it's ok.

Don't tailgate, and when you find someplace you can safely lock the wheels,
do so to figure out how it slides.

ABS has been out on the ti for years- just means the fronts lock way before the rears.

50% of people on this forum have ditched ABS, or it's not functioning. The other 25% that has it working never has tested it. And the last 25% live in Boston, Chicago, or Buffalo. ;)

ABS is really needed in winter driving or heavy rain and only when your car starts to lose traction during braking. Otherwise, it is safe to drive.

I don't feel safe until the ABS light is on.
