    Brake problem-dry left rear caliper?

So I started to flush/bleed my brake fluid. Right rear went as expected, worked fluid out while feeding new in the reservoir.

Left rear? I can’t get any fluid to come out of the bleed screw. It looks dry, like there hasn’t been fluid there for a while. My car stops nicely but I can believe it should be better but as I’ve driven the car I never ever felt like I was only using 3 wheels to stop.

What’s going on and what’s the best way to tackle this, please? This is an ‘89 i

Remove the bleed screw entirely and try. Still no fluid?

Next would be to loosen the rubber brake hose at the caliper and see if fluid is at least making it to the caliper. Note that you'll have to either remove the caliper from the carrier or loosen the connection between the hard line and the rubber hose to keep from twisting the rubber hose. Still no fluid?

Keep working your way back to the "T" connector. One of the rubber hoses may have collapsed or perhaps there's a crushed hard line.

    Good luck!

Take the bleeder screw off and poke a small drill bit or pick in there. Cover with rag and then pump the brakes. If nothing comes out then follow 101's recomendations.

Thanks y’all. I removed the bleed screw completely and it’s dry as a bone in there, I picked down inside too, nothing.

I will chase the line after I order some parts, if I can I just replace most things because I may end up breaking stuff in the process. I finished cleaning up and flushing the front too and I have the rotors off to knock off rust and paint (not the caliper surfaces).

If it's bone dry the seals are probably bad so you'll want to rebuild both rear calipers
