Shipping Wheels From the UK to the West Coast

I've been looking at some wheels from the UK, and I see a few deals that I'm possibly looking in to, but I'm not sure how much shipping would cost. I imagine it's pretty expensive to get wheels from the UK to the west coast, but I just want to get an idea of how much it could possibly be. If anyone has any experience with this, and could give me some information on the subject, I'd highly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

It's cheaper than shipping them within the US.

More apt to buying wheels outside the US than within just because of the shipping cost differential. USPS loses money shipping things in to the US, and tries to make it up domestically. FedEx and UPS are a joke.

I've bought several sets from the UK/Germany..etc. And shipping is penny's on the dollar to get them here.

I had a set of new Lexus 18's shipped from SoCal to Washington state for $104 for 4 wheels each weighing 30 lbs.

So 1 wheel for $30ish int'l vs 4 wheels domestic for $100ish. Seems about the same to me (shipping int'l vs. domestic)

If you're willing to wait a week or two, international isn't expensive. It's only when you start requiring quick shipping, that it really gets expensive.


I regularly have to make shipments to my company's factory in China from our headquarters in SoCal. Typical 10lb box costs about $20 to send with 1-2 week transit time. 3-4 business day shipping is $70. 2 business day shipping is $150. 1 business day is $500.
