Clutch clunk noise when pressing in pedal at low speeds

    Hey guys,

I've been wondering, lately I did a lot of slow driving with my E30 because traffic and whenever I need to press in the clutch fast to stop the car when in first gear, there is a clunk-clunk-clunk noise coming from underneath, it sounds like it's coming from the clutch area.

Anyone else noticed this on their iX too? Were you able to get rid of it?
My iX touring just passed 250k kms, as far as I know it still have the original clutch/TOB. (The TOB does seem to rattle a bit/make a ticking noise especially when it's hot outside) Although I don't think this is causing the clunking noise when pressing in the clutch pedal.

I've done some more research on this and it seems E46s have the tame problem although it seems that it's coming from the rear because of worn diff bushings.

    Any thoughts?

yeah, that sounds more like giubos, motor/trans mount, front diff mount maybe

the driveline is rapidly unloading, look at stuff that will move when that happens

When replacing my fuel tank I did notice that my diff bushing is getting a bit cracked. But the noise has been there for quite a while. Just recently it really annoyed me.

I'm thinking to do a whole rear end rebuild, new bushes, brake lines, bearings, cv boots etc etc might even replate all the bolts & rear (maybe front) brakes and rebuild them while I'm at it.
Just sucks that it's a daily driver. I guess I'll use my restored Golf mk1 for some time
