M50 with Getrag 260 clutch help!

    Hello everyone,

First off, I'd like to thank everyone for their help on my previous post regarding building a M20 stroker, but I have decided to go with an M50 instead.

With that in mind however, I have run into a snag or two, with the major one being the clutch and pressure plate. I am hoping to use the stock Getrag 260 transmission with my M50, but I'm wondering if I will need to use a stock M20 clutch assembly, or if the spare assembly that came with the M50 from a ZF transmission would work?

Also, if anyone has any recommendations on things to watch for with this swap or recommended improvement to do while we have everything out, that would be appreciated as well!

    Thanks again!

If you're keeping the g260, keep everything for that trans, including the clutch, flywheel and m20 starter.
Everything else is straight forward. Oh and if it's an early model trans you'll want to tap the reference holes in order to get to the pesky rear oil pan bolts, if you ever bust one.

Need a pilot bearing in the back of the motor to match the transmission also.
