    13 button obc installation help

    Hello! I have a 1990 bmw 325i 4 door sedan.

I recently got a 13 button obc to replace my 6 button obc. I have removed the harness and fitted in the 13 button harness but I am having trouble finding where most of the plugs go. I have been using (http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/i...trofitting_OBC) to help me but I am unable to find most of the plugs still.

Does anybody have any pictures for this procedure? I can't find the plugs for the module and the remaining plugs under the driver panel..

I dont have the relay and the turn signal stalk. Just learned about these. Can I use the turn signal stalk that I have right now?

The relay is for the CODE anti theft function and the turn signal stalk is just to toggle through the features without touching the OBC so they are not critical components. The OBC gets info from the cluster through the yellow connector. The small blue connector goes to the OBC turn signal switch. The small green plug on the harness goes to the OBC relay. The black plug goes to the door chime. I'm not sure about the other ones. Hope that helps a little.

That did help!! Now I realize they are not crucial components but I would love to have that code function. Do I need a specific signal stalk or can I just use the one that came with the car? Do you know if any plugs get connected to the ecu? I stripped it down but couldn’t find any plugs to put into. Lastly how do I get the temp sensor to work?!

Now that I think about it...2 green plugs go to the relay box. So both of those harnesses in the picture connect to the relay which makes sense since it activates the OBC horn if you try to start the car 3 times when the CODE is activated. The temp sensor is part of that "outside" harness. There are no small connections at the DME. I don't think it connects to the DME at all. Both of those harness's are on the drivers side of the car. It's possible that those smaller connectors by the blue OBC connector interface with the DME harness behind the dash someplace. So it looks like you may need that relay box afterall unless those two harnesses connect together directly. You don't need the OBC turn signal stalk.
