I've owned the car about 5 years, swapped the motor and drove it for 2.5 yrs on the swap. That motor met its end from the camshaft retaining caps either broke, snapped a stud, or were finger loose. (Previous owner swapped in M3 cams) I didn't trust that the cam shaft bearing bridge or the camshaft itself weren't damaged so I decided to yank out the motor and drop a different donor in.
I just finished up doing that swap, got it running, bled the system and took it for a short test drive. The motor was running well, sounded great, but then unfortunately, a plume of white smoke indicating a blown head gasket came shortly into the test drive. Now I'm over it. My love hate relationship with the car is solidly in the hate spectrum and I'm done with it. I've wasted too much of my time, and inconvenienced my wife too much at this point to make it live again.
So now it's up for sale. I've done a number of tasteful modifications to it over the years, so it would be a great car to part out, or make live again. It's an '87 Bronzit Sedan.
It did suffer some minor nose damage as can be seen. The hood has since been bent back so a new kidney grill can be fitted, but currently doesn't have one. The rest of the body is pretty straight and clean, albeit in need of a paint job.
