E46 ZHP Rack and E36 tie rod issues

I installed my E46 ZHP rack and finally got everything snugged up, control arms and tie rods.

I have the e36 outers, bought the whole set from Rack Doctor who I will call tomorrow to ask some questions.

Here is the issue, the tie rods are hitting my rotors, not sure what I did wrong here. When I had the E30 rack with BBK I had no issues.

Have a picture of the complete setup were inners meet outers?
I think the outers will have to be removed and turned more into the inners.
I didn't have this problem installing my rack, depending on outers manufacture also could be a different design at the rod ends causing this.
Please post back with rack doctor update.

Yeah you just need outer tie rod ends from some other manufacturer which makes bit smaller ones.

So I thought I should share this my friend also rack swapped his e30 over the weekend, I helped but it wasn't easy cause the previous owner put in the steering rack bolts from the top, a real Pita this was.
Any way once we figured the removal thing out and got the new rack in it was time to thread in his outers which was Lemforders e36 328i 1995 that's what the box said!!!
no rubbing issues very close but, he has about 6mm clearance between tie rod rubber boot and brake disk.

But does he have big brake kit like OP has that brings disk about 5mm closer to tie rod end?

Yes we both are using Wilwood rotors up front, only thing is he said he had to shave off 2mm from his disk cause of bad pads.

My car is all boxed in cause I am busy with home renovations, space is tight I will compare with my car for sure this weekend.

FYI this was solved with going with Lemforder E36 tierods which are thinner at the base and the boot then the no-name brand ones that were included with the rack from rackdoctor.

I don't even know what brand they were, because I never heard of them, once I replaced with the Lemforder ones it fit no issues no rubbing.
