    Unique ABS issue.

All the searching I have done got me to this point. The ABS light comes on at ignition. The ABS light goes out at engine start. The ABS light comes back on after driving for 10-20 seconds. I have done the “only one sensor connected” test multiple times and I have all the sensors acting as they should. Both of the front plug have been replaced with quality plugs (the “only one sensor connected” test tells me they are okay). My next step is to check the wiring harness but I was hoping someone had an easier solution before I dove into that. The only thing else I can remember that was done to the car that may effect the system is some welding we did close to the pump to add a splitter. I have changed all the relays on top of the pump. I have change the computer. The car is a 90 coupe. Any help will be appreciated. I can’t have my drivers flatspotting the tires anymore. Thanks, Frankie

I would check to make sure the ABS light is truly monitoring the ABS system.

You can try removing the ABS relay. If the relay is removed, the ABS light should for sure be lit. If the light still does the whole, turn on, then stay off for 10-20 seconds thing, then the light is not truly monitoring your ABS system.

I’ve tried all suggested fixes. I did change both front plug and I was careful to not cross the wires but......if I did not hook them up as from the factory (crossed the wires) would that a possible be an explanation for what’s happening? I had an electrician look at the schematic and he doesn’t think it matters.
