Not looking to buy one as I already have one installed. Went to prime the motor, oil cooler, and turbo today. First go around I didn’t see any oil pressure on my external gauge: pulled the feed like for the turbo and it was dry as can be. Disassembled the cap, checked the fitting that pushes the oil through the cap, and second try worked.
It just seems a little finicky, and thank goodness I have an oil pressure gauge on the cap itself or I might have burned up my brand new turbo.
Does anyone else have any experience with these style oil cooler caps? I just want to make sure I’m doing everything correctly.
