M52 Vs. S50 piston pin location?

Ive read that the M52 wrist pin location is higher in the piston than the S50 US piston.. . Anyone have the scoop on this?

We are trying to use an M54 3.0 crank in an M52 block, We have a set of S50 rods and pistons.. The engine needs to be bored anyway due to an out of round cylinder.. so the larger s50 pistons would possibly be perfect, if they dont travel above the deck

some data here but nothing for the s50

you can still look up mahle catalog though

didnt have S52B32 data but i think comp height is 31mm from some aftermarket JE ones ive seen but this is an assumption

So the s50b30Us has 1mm more comprssion height 32.8 vs 31.8mm

i thought the block deck heights were the same M52b28/S50B30US/S52B32 at 210mm ?

in which case you can just compare stack height

    M52b28: 42.0+135+31.8 = 208.8
    S50b30: 42.9+135+32.8 = 210.7
    S52b32: 44.8+135+31.0 = 210.8

    if you try

    44.8+135+32.8 = 212.6 = FAIL

s52 pistons are what you need
