    325i fueling question

Hoping someone can shed some light on this or point me in the correct direction. Car is an 89 325i manufactured 8 of 88. have been looking into upgrading the fueling system/ refresh. new pump, lines filter etc. From what I have read pre 88 cars had 2 fuel pumps, 1 in tank and 1 in line. post 88 have 1 single in tank. My car has 1 in tank and 1 in line? Is there a cutoff date that this changed?

If I go with walboro in tank is it as easy as it looks to just remove the in line pump and wiring, anything to note as far as wiring or removing the relay?

Apologies if im overlooking something simple

If the pump is in good working order, I wouldn't bother changing it, but the lines are a definite if they are hard.

I have been staying away from Walbo for a few years now, almost all of them are Chinese clones. Check out Aermotive, they have a nice pump and you can buy direct from the MFGR right here in the USA.

agree... if its working i would not change it change all the fuel lines by all means... all that said... in my turbo setup I am running a walboro 450 pump in the tank ... and am pretty happy with it...

Will definitely look into that company. I guess to bring the question back on point, why 2 pumps in this year car.? Anyone ever hear of this?

If it ain't broke don't fix it.... I get that 100%. But having the parts on hand ready to go when it is time to fix it does not bother me at all😀

What size tank do you have? Is there a level sender under the driver side?

There's a cover for the sending unit under my drivers seat. Ill have to pull it and see if there's actually anything under it. As for capacity...... Unsure.
