    DIY AFM Refurbishment

            I had no choice.. I bought mine used off ebay and the spring was all the way loose when I recieved it.

                that's probably why your A/F is all over the place. I'll take an unmolested stock AFM over an "adjusted" one any day. did your old one die or something?

                  The one that came with the car was trashed. New one costs WAY too much.

                    NAPA sells a reman AFM for $100US. Should come with a warrenty. Might be worth a try.

                      thats a load of crap, a german, bosch tuning book that i have says to do that! to loosen it up 2 clicks will give you a little bit more bottom end!

                              It's very easy to work on these cars. It's just people do stupid things just because they can. That isn't directed to you.

                              The fact that the E30 is easy to work on makes it just as easy to screw up. If you think the E30 is hard, try changing the head gasket on a Mk1 Mini. :)
