Wheel Bearing?

My car has started to make a kind of whine noise in the rear passenger side. Its not the diff. I thought it was the fuel pump at first but it doesn't whine at a stop light when you rev. The whine isn't very loud at all but it gets louder as you go faster and quiter as you slow down. Nothin at a stop. Does that sound like bearings?

Yeah, sounds like the same noise mine makes. I'd try the wheel bearing. Try disconnecting the axle, taking off the disc rotor. and turning gently by hand. You might be able to 'feel' if its binding a little or not turning smoothly. (dont forget to hold the axle inline or you will have trouble 'feeling' anything.)

maybe if I put some e46 gtr fenders on the sound would stop? hehe couldn't help it

Is the noise worse when you are making tight turns? If so, then it is probably a rear wheel bearing on the way out.

no it doesn't change w/ turns just speed

Could just be tire noise.

Try swapping the rr wheel/tire to the front and see if the noise follows it.
