    WTB: E30 325is

    Want To Buy: E30 325is.
The only problem I'm having finding one is finding one that is near middle Tennessee, or near Tennessee at all.

Don't really care what color the car is, but the things I want are the following:
    -Manual 5 spd.
-Less than 175k miles (this depends on what shape the car is in)
    -No mods or light mods
-Less than $5k (depends on what shape the car is in, really)
    -NO WRECKS
    -
Within 75 miles of either Nashville, Tennessee or Paducah, Kentucky (I like to see the car before I buy it)
-Nothing requires repairs (when I say requires, I mean that otherwise the car wont run or will stop running because of it)
-Service records would be awesome, and I'd pay more for a car that had them

I think I've covered all the bases. You can send me an email @
    ahughesart @ gmail . com

87 325is, second owner, clean title, 108k. 5spd, red...blah blah blah. 4500. Two things wrong with her. Hood cable broke off at handle, and driver door won't stay open (the metal ellipse broke free of the weld).
    Attached Files

Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
    Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.

Yea why would you rather it be a 88?

The only thing is that it'd have to be worth it for me to drive up there to check it out.
It's a decent price, I suppose, and it looks like it's in pretty good shape :)
Low(er) miles is also a plus but I'm worried I won't like it and have to turn around and come home?

Any problems mechanically, if so what? If I did check out the car, where would you be willing to meet me?

            -Austin

*edit* oh wow I didn't see how low the miles actually WERE.
Looks rolled back to me though because 108k is verrry low for a 17 yr old car.

Tell me more about it perhaps

I'd rather have her be an 88 for the cooling setup, just looks clean. These pics were from a month or so ago, and 108xxx is the actual mileage. She spent some time bouncing between Illinois lots before she wound up on the auction block, and I then picked her up from two guys that mainly dealt in the "bow tie" side of cars. I did a carfax and found no instance of rollback or or any wrecks, floods, fire, anything. Since she sat so long a few things were needed. Nothing major, switches for windows, si board, fuel guage in the instrument cluster. Little things. While I was checking the timing belt, I went ahead and replaced the fan clutch with a new bavauto one. The two gentleman I bought her from had gotten a used one that seemed weak to me. No issues mechanically, she passed all safety and smog with no question. I recently did a valve adjustment, oil change/filter, and plugs. She starts up everytime, and pulls very strong through all gears. If you want to meet her, let's find a halfway point and set it up. As for the car behind her, that's my other 87is. She's my first, loved above all others. She's in the garage now, a shell of her former self. She asked for a 3.2 stroker kit matched with an ITB for Christmas. I gave in.

Why does the body look so different on the cars if they are the same year/model? Sorry I'm a bit new to older BMWs...

Mapquest says halfway is about 2hr 20min from each other (4hr 40min full trip). Pic a spot about 2.5 hours from you and I'll check the calender.

Alright, but before I meet you I will have to consider the rest of my options, prices, and locations. Don't make any plans for now, but I'll get back to you. As for the other question.. Other than the bottom of the front of the car, the part around the grille looks different.

As in, not the border of the grille that's been blacked out, but that whole front of the car. Prolly the angle tho.

                              I suppose it's just the angle. :P
