    Boston / Vermont Area Drives?

Kermit Upton used to do an early Sunday morning drive with a group of qualified owners up around the Ludlow, VT area. I am up there quite a bit and am wondering if anyone knows if this still continues in the summer? I would love to participate sometime.

Likewise for Boston area. I live in Boston - are there any owners that go for weekly/daily/monthly drives around the area? I know of three or four 2002 owners that would be open to giving some e30 guys a run for their money! I'd love to go for a group drive at least once a month around home.

Check out the Numassmontring bunch over at nmmr.jsedlak.org. Most of them are from Albany, but their 'ring is quite a nice drive. I've been on it myself a couple of times.

I was looking for someone to step forward and say "I'm from Boston and there are 10 of us that go for a drive every Sunday morning." Driving alone is fun but more fun IMO is 10 BMW's ripping up a nice stretch of twisties.

Perhaps I'll email the Boston Chapter.

I know Kermit - I can ask him tomorrow.

I however had been going with some guys from a local S2000 group. We hit Route 17, and Route 5...Also Route 100. I would not mind hooking up this summer - just need to let the salt/sand wash off the road. :)

We have gone on some really wild rides, upstate NY, VT, and some in NH.

Im a NH native, love the roads up there!

Sounds like there are 4 or 5 interested and I'm sure there would be at least 3 or 4 2002's that would join in. Boston sucks anyway so outside the city is way better. I want some elevation changes too - twisties and hills!

I'm not sure if Kermit still does it or not but if yes I'm sure it's not in the winter. They (you too) just got another 12+ up there right? I'll be up in Ludlow all weekend but riding at Okemo & Stratton not really driving.

Too bad BavAuto doesn't put on Saturday or Sunday morning drives. I'd make it up to that as often as I could!

                    Cool!

Yeah, I am about 20 miles from Kermit's place. We did just get 14" of powder. :) Enjoy!

When they get the sand off the roads and it becomes safe to drive I'll let you know when I'm up there next. My gf's parents live in Ludlow and her dad is a BMW bike guy. He rips it up and keeps right on my ass in his 1976 R80 (I think) aircooled bimmer.

I have a place on Rt.113 right near Squam Lake in NH that I frequent in the summer and some times in the winter. Some great roads up there.

AVA Restoration will be hosting a Gathering/Cruise/BBQ-type thing once it gets a bit warmer. I will post up some links about it and if it goes well I might try to turn it into a more frequent thing.

Also, I'm getting a few friends together in Concord this saturday if anyone's interested.

I'm in! Unfortunatly this saturday I will be up in Ludlow, VT skiing and taking my ritual drive through Kermit Upton's lot to check out the old m3's he's got there.

You guys aren't that far away and I'd love to join when the weather gets warmer.
