Tom - Don C. told me there was only 53 people signed up as on monday. (ORPCA)
My favorite moment at last years Lotus day was passing two Elise's - at the same time. They were on opposite sides of the track on the front straight and both pointed for me to pass - so between them I went.
What were you driving Tom? A group of us (me, Jen, Mark, Tim, Dan and Don) all parked together in the back corner.
Mark - Thats the spirit. I'll fix my awning or buy a new one so we can have some shade. Bring a chair.
Tucker - Lotus day's have no pre-registration. You just show up early and hope for the best. They don't offer instructors so it not the place for first timers. If you want some instruction, any of us ACA guys (and gals) will be happy to help.
I don't remember how much it cost last year. $140 to $175 would be my guess. The Porsche day on thursday is $130.
Update
Jen just got promoted, so she can't make either event. I have plans for Memorial weekend, so I'm just attending the Porsche event on thursday. I'll be in Jen's car (green 328 with the roll bar - mine is still FUBAR) and if I get creative with packing, I may be able to bring the awning so bring a chair.
Looks like it is full and we have to be off the track at 4:00. Gates open at 7:00 am.
Anyone game for a beer or margarita after?
Keith-
Sorry to hear about your car. Any progress? It doesn't look like I am going to be able to make the next track days. Its a shame I'm itching to get out there... I got myself a new set of front brake pads (dtc 60s).
Tell Jenn congrat's on the promotion and have a good time on Thursday.
