    Motor swap help

OK Iam new to the whole bmw sense and for awhile I have been sitting back and just reading up on alot of information. Iam in the hunt for a bmw to make into a spec racer and I have run across a local 87 325es. My question is I know the i motor makes more power and rev's higher so what do I need to do to swap the i motor into the 325es? I have tried the search button but I have ran across alot of different answers that just mixed me up even more. Would this modification be something that is reasonable or should I just wait and try to find a 325i or 325is?
    -Thanks Brandon

I would wait for a good 325is to pop up.

The motor swap is straightforward. Motor, harness and DME need to be swapped. I would recommend waiting for an iS to come along though, since it already has the right motor in it. If you decide to go with a swap, though, may as well go with an M50.

An e to i swap is very simple and if you find a clean ass e, I think the swap is totally worth it.

Wait to get a 325i(s). You would also need to swap out the rear for a 3.73 rear and other items. Just buy the correct car to start out with.
