    Centre bearing

Hi, I believe for an M60 conversion that an E36 328 manual propshaft should be used, fitted with an E30 centre bearing.

Can anyone confirm the PN of the centre bearing required?

    Thanks

I used oem e30 csb . No issues and fit the driveshaft (I am using zf 5 speed) .

      Thanks Jean,

I assume then that they are all the same on the E30 regardless of engine size or transmission type?

Late model cars had offset CSB that was a bit smaller than the earlier ones. Get the right CSB for your car- if you have a late model make sure it gets installed correctly.

            So I have a 1985 316 coupe and I've just ordered Meyle 300 261 2191/S which is equivalent to BMW 26121226723

            My car: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=26_0009

Needs 26121225152 which is 55x13x30, but this appears to have been fitted right through to 1994.

            A very late manual 325i coupe: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=26_0011

Needs 26121226723 which is listed as being the same 55x13x30 and again looks to be applicable to all E30s.

Whats the difference? the offset of the bearing to the holes in the floor?

            Thanks

Yes, you need the appropriate CSB for your chassis, either pre or post 9/87. The measurements you reference are just the bearing within the assembly. The whole assembly is what changed (and the mounting location on the chassis was changed accordingly as well).
