I tried that process on an NLA BMW brake fluid reservoir, it didn't work very well. It made it look cleaner, but definitely still yellow-ish. I'd love to find a way to correct the color.

-Early model, (up to 87 IIRC), and M3: Dual pump. One in-tank, low pressure/high volume pump feeding an external high pressure pump....

It's actually higher than the sump, so the oil will fully drain out of the filter housing even without draining the oil pan.


Just make sure you build a beefy bracket, and tie it into the frame...
