Noob Member With a Noob Question

I have a question that I’m sure has a simple answer. I’ve searched and spent money with no cure.

When I put the headlights on, the OBC dims to the point where you can barely read it, the tach/temp gauges do not illuminate, however the speedo and temp gauges illuminate. When the headlights are switched off, the OBC illuminates bright.

All the bulbs are less than 1.5 years old, I already swapped the headlight switch (nothing changed) and I checked the fuses a dozen times.

I’m pretty stumped! Would appreciate some fresh ideas.

Also the Si board is solid, replaced it with a refurbished one from BavRest, swapped the defrost & emergency light switches as well.

Sorry, I don't have an answer for you. But I acknowledge how humiliating it must be for you to ask for help, while calling yourself "Buttjuice."

Well, "Buttjuice", I gave it some thought. Check your grounds. Especially the grounding stud on the inside of the front left fender.

                I can’t express how thankful I am.

I rubbed Viagra on my grounds while reducing the Red Bull intake, lo’ and behold this son of a gun illuminates like it came fresh off the lot.

                  What a nub lol

Electrical issues are a nightmare. When I was at Sebring this month, Dad called and said the left-side turn signals had started flashing quickly but both ends and the dash all worked. I ordered a good used switch on the way home because my research suggested that would be the source of the issue (Dad checked relays, fuses, etc. with no success).

I got home, the second flasher relay and second switch made no difference. I took out the front-left bulb, put it back in, and everything is fine now.
