    Taping glovebox light questions

So I pulled fuse 21 and my glovebox still lights up when the key is one. Also, instead rd/gn hot and br/bu for ground I have purple on one side and br/bu on the other as pictured. I suspect that it was rewired as part of the remote lock install. Anyway, I need a 12 volt positive to connect my Audiovox FMM100A
    Wired FM Modulator.

    So purple wire is hot??

I don't think anyone is going to be able to tell you which wire is the positive just by looking at a pic..

You can find the answers to all your questions by searching and downloading the ETM manual for your car.

Time to buy a multi meter i reckon, they are like 10bucks.

You probably want to make sure you use a 12V source that is switched with accessories for your audio widget.

If it were me i would be pulling out the stereo head unit, wiring in your audio widget with the same power as the stereo, and then mounting the modulator in behind the stereo head unit.
