The "Mission E / Taycan" prototype was a really dramatic design, with a waist and hips and great lines. They've been promising the production car will look just like the prototype.
These are the more recent spy shots and renders of what's coming. Not at all the same car.... The side window shape is similar, but none of the rest of the proportions are there. Pretty ordinary in my view.

So disappointing. It's a slab-sided 90s Pontiac with a nicer roof line, a 911 butt glued on to it, and sort of a facsimile of the Mission E nose. The Mission E's greenhouse sat down low between those fender tops and the waist was really narrow - although it looked like it was a fairly big car when next to people for scale.
And look at that cool double bubble roof on the prototype, that's long gone.
